As the world prepares to join the youth-led Global Climate Strike during the week of September 20 – September 27, smaller preparatory Fridays for Future strikes are already generating energy around the world. Young people and allies are being called to occupy their city centers every Friday of the month. Local high school student Parth Ghawghawe was one of a few advocating for global climate action in San Antonio last Friday.
This Friday will be different, with growing commitments from young people and allies. Join from 1pm – 4pm Friday, September 13, by gathering outside San Antonio City Council Chambers (114 W Commerce St, San Antonio, TX 78205).
And looking forward to larger actions on September 20 (tentative) and September 21 (10a.m.-2p.m. Youth Climate Rally), people are dusting off their canvass and paints.
