disABILITYsa invites Pharmacists, Physicians, RN’s, and technicians to help break down the barriers that may inhibit individuals living with various disabilities from seeking care at local pharmacies and clinics. Through our Vax-abilitySTRONG Provider Workshop, participants can increase their knowledge on how to easily make a health care environment more disability-friendly.

Following the completion of the workshop:
- Pharmacists, Registered Nurses, and Physicians who oversee a clinic or pharmacy and complete the training will receive a disability-friendly starter kit for their clinic/pharmacy. (Limit one per location) Also available for purchase – $245
- Attendees will begin the process to be recognized as part of a Welcoming Provider Initiative in SA.
- Attendees will have the opportunity to receive 3.5 hours of CEU’s from Alamo Colleges.

Join us for a nature walk led by Alamo Area Master Naturalist, Educator, and Geologist: Gary Poole! In this program, Gary will talk about the science behind climate change and understanding the effects already occurring globally, and focus on Texas in particular.
This talk is part of our monthly 4th Saturday Nature Walk series provided by our Alamo Area Master Naturalists and the Alamo Group of the Sierra Club, with the Native Plant Society of Texas, San Antonio.
Note: Please wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring some water to drink! Restrooms are available at the Urban Ecology Center.

In preparation for the iNaturalist City Nature Challenge 2023 (April 28th-May 1st) the San Antonio River Authority and the San Antonio River Foundation are organizing immersive nature walks to help the community discover unique flora and fauna of the riparian areas in the southern basin of San Antonio River.
Free iNaturalist app citizen scientist training will be provided. All ages welcome.

This course focuses on climate change in urban areas, covering how cities are affected by climate change, how they contribute to it, as well as how they plan for it. It includes one module divided into 6 sections, and takes around 2 hours to complete.
Once the quiz is completed with above 70% of passing scores, you will receive a certificate of completion from UN-Habitat and UNITAR. You have three attempts to try the quiz. Please, access your certificate under the tap “Certification” on the main course page.
This module is available as PDF and PowerPoint Presentation for offline study or training purposes. The modules also include links to other UN resources on climate change, which provides a gateway to more in-depth and specific information.

Educators in K-12 in San Antonio public schools are invited to a groundbreaking PD to support the next generation of climate-resilient youth leaders and innovators. Teachers will receive an introduction to the Sustainable Intelligence curriculum and will walk through specific lessons that support environmental literacy as it relates to the climate crisis. They will then explore design thinking resources to guide their students to think creatively about solutions to get involved and help tackle this global issue.
