Mark your calendars—the annual San Antonio Book Festival is back at Central Library and UTSA Southwest! The festivities will kick off at 9:30 AM after remarks from SABF’s executive director and Mayor Ron Nirenberg. A diverse array of sessions will follow with 100 festival authors.
Our full festival lineup is now live on our website, featuring Pulitzer-prize-winning authors Matthew Desmond and Geraldine Brooks. Other acclaimed writers include MacArthur Fellow Kiese Laymon, National Book Award Finalist Rebecca Makkai, and many more! Begin compiling your must-see list of authors at the 11th annual festival.
This event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public!
Recommendation: Char Miller reading from his book of essays, “A Planet in Peril,” at 12:45pm. Char Miller explores threats of climate change, fire, drought, development, and fracking to our environment in Natural Consequences. Join us to hear about the misuse of the land and resources, and how we can find healthier ways of connecting with the world around us and the importance of taking action in your local community.
