Growing Together

Concern regarding displacement and gentrification in San Antonio’s neighborhoods has been growing in recent years. Since the City joined ForEveryoneHome, a team of municipal and community leaders have been working together to community outreach and data analysis to understand the displacement challenges facing our community. We then developed a set of proposed policies to respond to the challenges we found. The result is Growing Together: An Anti-Displacement Agenda for San Antonio.

This draft 70+ page report identifies five displacement and inclusive growth challenges our community faces and 34 actions to address those challenges. Between April 1 and April 30, 2021, we seek public comment to help us refine and prioritize these actions. We will revise our report based on the input received, and then seek to have our recommendations incorporated into the City’s Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP).

We invite anyone concerned about housing affordability and displacement pressures in San Antonio to learn more about our proposed Anti-Displacement Agenda and provide their input.
Join us online for a conversation with San Antonio ForEveryoneHome members. Tell us what you think the City should prioritize to keep people housed.
