Join us Thursday June 17 at 1pm CT for a digital kick off to a week-long phone bank to stop border walls and virtual walls. For too long, border residents have paid the price for border militarization, from losing their homes to seeing wildlife habitat destroyed.

Our taxpayer money, amounting to billions, has been wasted on a wall when it could have served a better purpose, such as improving our drainage infrastructure. As border residents, we know better than anyone what our true needs are and they do not include a wall or more surveillance.

Our voices and our stories are important and we invite you to join us to share those stories and call on Congressman Henry Cuellar, the U.S. House and Senate Appropriations Committees, and the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittees on Homeland Security to not devote more funding to border walls or virtual walls, rescind funds previously appropriated, and fund efforts to heal the damage border wall construction has already caused.We’ll be sharing all the information you need to know to participate, including what the appropriations process is, who the key decision makers are, and how to tell your story most effectively.
