Angela Weddle
Angela N. Weddle is a poet, writer, visual artist, and animator whose poetry and art has appeared in Barking Sycamores, Salamander Literary Magazine, and on the covers of multiple CDs and books (All Without Words by Justin Morell & John Daversa, Nathan Spoon’s chapbook from Third Man Books, and How to Parent Like an Autistic by K. Bron Johnson). She has performed at numerous local poetry events, and her art has been exhibited in Between Yesterday and Tomorrow and featured in the ExDx Film Project by the University of Exeter. Her work is also part of permanent collections at Texas A&M University at San Antonio and University Hospital San Antonio. A past board member and contributing blogger for The Art of Autism and past board member of the San Antonio Ethnic Art Society, Weddle’s advocacy and artwork have been recognized in San Antonio Current, San Antonio Express-News, Spectrum News, and PopSugar for her digital work in partnership with Apple. An autistic savant with cerebral palsy, she has spoken on autism awareness for organizations like H.E.B. and at DreamWeek, continuing to challenge perceptions through her art, poetry, and advocacy.
