Over the past six months, crews have laid nearly eight miles of pipe from West Pointe à la Hache to an area of open water on the west bank of Plaquemines Parish. These massive pipes carry sediment, with hopes of restoring 334 acres of this brackish marsh, known as Bayou Grande Cheniere.
