For those about growing a better world, we work to direct you quickly to the most potentially transformative meetings, climate actions, skillshares, and gatherings to help facilitate the development of ever more resilient networks of common care.

Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

Harvesting rainwater can reduce demand on traditional water supplies and can provide water in areas without access to a conventional water supply system. Rainwater harvesting has many benefits: it has zero hardness, is sodium free, has nearly neutral PH, and it’s free! Nearly half of residential water use goes to landscaping. By harvesting rainwater, you can create a beautiful landscape that requires little to no irrigation.
Join John Vann and Lou Kellogg, Bexar County Master Gardeners, as they teach participants the ins and outs of Rainwater Harvesting. They will also show people how to build a rain barrel, that will be given away in a drawing at the end of class. Each class participant will receive $10 in bonus bucks that can be used in the month of August. Click the calendar below to sign up. Get your ticket now, seating is limited.
