Emma Tenayuca Ofrenda Unveiling

Día de Muertos would not be complete without an ofrenda (altar). SAMA will present an ofrenda designed by Amalia Mesa-Bains in honor of Emma Tenayuca, a San Antonian labor and civil rights activist known for her central role in the Pecan-Shellers’ Strike of 1938. The ofrenda will be on view in the Great Hall beginning October 22. Free with Museum admission
