Gaining Ground: The Fight for Black Land
Join Sustainable G’s Inc for an unforgettable movie experience celebrating the rich history and contributions of Black farmers and why land access is so important.
The screening of this extraordinary documentary explores the rich history of Black farmers and the paramount importance of land and self-sufficiency in food production. Gaining Ground is a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit and the importance of cultivating change from the ground up.
Afterwards, expect an evening of enlightening discussions as we will discuss the film with the director Eternal Polk alongside local black farmers surrounding San Antonio, who will share their experiences and vision for black land ownership and sustainable future.
This event is an official 2024 Dream Week event in collaboration with the San Antonio African American Community Archive & Museum movie series and Sustainable G’s Inc.
