World Water Day at the Blue Hole

Come join Catholic Relief Service for World Water Day on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 at the University of Incarnate Word. The theme this year is in solidarity with the United Nations: Water for peace. The goal of this event is to bring awareness about the current water crisis we are facing and engage our campus in water-related activities to raise awareness about water conservation and sustainability.
Here is the schedule for the event:
- 12:00pm-12:30pm: Roman Catholic Mass outside at the Grotto
- 12:30pm-12:45pm: Blessing of the Headwaters Blue Hole
- 12:45pm-1:30pm: Water for Peace Activities outside of the Student Engagement Center (West Gate)
CRS is a non-profit humanitarian aid organization that serves the underprivileged communities. One of its fundamental principles is ensuring that all communities live in a water-secure world. More than 3 billion people worldwide depend on water that crosses national borders. Yet only 24 countries have cooperation agreements for all their shared water. At our university, CRS engages with students, faculty, and others to highlight local and global humanitarian needs.
