Deceleration is all about stimulating a shift to healthier living, communities, and culture. Our Happening events calendar highlights lots of fun and critical (some critical and fun) San Antonio and South Texas happenings each month. For those about growing a better world, we work to direct you quickly to the most potentially transformative meetings, climate actions, skillshares, and gatherings to help facilitate the development of ever more resilient networks of common care.

Nature Walk w/ Norma Jean Moore

This walk will be a playful experience to deepen the observations of the Headwaters. Please wear closed-toe shoes. Binoculars will be available for participants to use during the session. The walk is limited to 15 people.
Norma Jean Moore, the walk guide, is a full-time artist living in San Antonio, Texas. Her studio is located behind her house in what is locally known as a casita. Her volunteer work as an Alamo Area Master Naturalist and her membership in the local Native Plant Society has helped to produce a more novel and native landscape that informs her painting practice.
When not painting, she gives back to the land, working on her own and with environmental groups to create a variety of “pocket” landscapes that will help support and sustain an ecology that is disappearing.
Free Admission – Donations Support Guide Stipends. Registration is required.
