Tree Buds Citizen Forester Workday
Come and be a part of the Tree Buds Citizen Forester Workday! During this event, you’ll gain valuable knowledge on the fundamentals of correct tree pruning for young trees while helping to preserve our urban forest!
All Tree Buds Work Days are scheduled to start at 8:30 am and finish at 12:00pm. The scope of work will be pruning trees for improved structure and performing root collar excavations. We will also do field training to inventory and document the work performed on trees.
Remember to dress appropriately for the work we will do and the weather conditions. (recommend layers and good work shoes) The work of pruning trees and excavating tree root collars can be strenuous. Bring water/drink, and a snack. It is important to stay hydrated and keep your energy levels maintained.
