Event Details

Join us and the San Antonio Astronomical Association for an evening of stargazing and planet watching.

We’ll be viewing many constellations and planets and learning about them. We hope to view Venus, Mars, and Jupiter! We’ll also look for star clusters, nebula, and much more. Learn the basics of telescope operation. Bring your own telescope or binoculars or enjoy the sights from one of the SAAA’s telescopes.

Park in Parking Lot A and walk the short distance to Parking Lot C where the telescopes will be set up. Dress for the weather. Bring water, a snack if you like, and your own flashlight with a red lens cover.

Open to all ages; participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No pets, please.

IMPORTANT INFO: No reservations for this program are required, however entrance fees to the Natural Area do apply. Plan to arrive early as the Natural Area can be very busy! To ensure entrance and save time at the Fee Booth, please reserve and print out your Day Pass in advance by going to the link below.
